Except as otherwise required by the constitution

of the United States, the constitution of this state,

the General Statutes or any Practice Book rule

adopted before June 18, 2014, the date on which

the Supreme Court adopted the Code, presump­

tions shall be governed by the principles of the

common law as they may be interpreted in the

light of reason and experience.
