These rules govern the implementation of the Crime Victims Compensation Program

("Program") in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia ("Court"), as set forth in

the “Victims of Violent Crime Compensation Act of 1996,” as amended, D.C. Code 4-

501 et seq. The Program provides compensation to victims of violent crime for medical

and related expenses, and loss of services, support and earnings.
