Text
Prior to the issuance of a certificate of title for a motor vehicle, the department shall determine, by computer or otherwise, if the vehicle has been stolen. Acts 1951, ch. 70, § 32 (Williams, § 5538.132); Acts 1978, ch. 842, § 1; T.C.A. (orig. ed.), § 59-310; Acts 2007, ch. 484, § 15.
