Text
Construction of dams intended to store water in excess of the water being decanted in the tailing placement operation shall also meet the requirements for water storage reservoirs specified in the Department’s Rules for the Safety o f Dams. The Director may waive any or all of these requirements if, in the opinion of the Director, sound engineerin g design supplied by the owner indicates such requirements are not applicable.
