ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING EQUIPMENT –

ASSET VALUE FOR ANNUAL STATEMENT

October 25, 1963

Pursuant to authority vested in me under Indiana Code 27-1-3-7, "to amend or repeal regulations.

. .prescribing the forms of reports" and "defining what is a safe and unsafe manner of doing business by

any insurance company" the following general regulation is hereby promulgated effective as of this date:

Any insurance company licensed to do business in this State which owns electronic data

processing equipment having an original cost (Installed Basis) of not less than $50,000.00 may for all

purposes include as an asset in its annual and other statements and reports the original cost of such

equipment, reduced by the following depreciation factors:

a.

If the original cost is at least $50,000.00 but less than $100,000.00, the annual

depreciation factor shall be 20%.

b.

If the original cost is not less than $100,000.00, the annual depreciation factor shall be 12

1/2%.

The above depreciation factors shall be applied ratably in the year of purchase in the ratio that the

unexpired portion of such year at the time of purchase bears to the entire calendar year.
