This chapter shall be administered by the department of safety. Acts 1937, ch. 90, § 2; 1939, ch. 205, § 3; C. Supp. 1950, § 2715.10 (Williams, § 2715.15); T.C.A. (orig. ed.), § 59-703; Acts 1988, ch. 584, § 3; T.C.A. §§ 55-7-103 , 55-7-201 .
