The department shall license nursing home administrators in accordance with rules and regulations adopted by the board with the approval of the director. A nursing home administrators license shall be nontransferable and shall be valid until the following June 30th, or until surrendered for cancellation, or suspended or revoked for violation of this chapter or any other laws or regulations relating to the proper operation of a nursing home. Any denial of issuance or renewal or any suspension or revocation shall be subject to review upon the timely request of the licensee and pursuant to the administrative procedures act, chapter 35 of title 42.
