(1) The Attorney General may bring a civil action in the name of the state in any court of appropriate jurisdiction to:

(a) Impose a civil penalty under ORS 646A.028 (Amount of civil penalty) for violations of ORS 646A.009 (Prohibition on sales of cosmetics developed or manufactured using animal testing) ; or

(b) Obtain an injunction to restrain violations of ORS 646A.009 (Prohibition on sales of cosmetics developed or manufactured using animal testing) .

(2) Civil penalties recovered under this section shall be deposited in the Department of Justice Protection and Education Revolving Account created under ORS 180.095 (Department of Justice Protection and Education Revolving Account) . [2023 c.536 §6]
