§ 3901.02. Appointment or hiring of employees

September 29, 1999 House Bill 283 - 123rd General Assembly The superintendent of insurance may appoint such employees as the prompt dispatch of business requires, including skilled and competent persons to examine and report on the business and affairs of insurance companies. The superintendent may hire an administrator of financial regulation services as an employee in the unclassified civil service. The superintendent shall fix the compensation of the administrator of financial regulation services. The superintendent may hire actuaries as employees in the unclassified civil service. The superintendent shall fix the compensation of these actuaries, who shall be fellows of either the casualty actuarial society or the society of actuaries. All persons now employed in the division of insurance in the classified civil service are transferred to the department of insurance in their respective classifications subject to reassignment as the superintendent of insurance may determine to be in the interest of efficient administration.
