Text

Whenever the state department or a local board, in order to prevent the spread of communicable disease, destroys any goods, it shall make an inventory of the goods, and immediately certify the value of them. The certification shall be made to the state treasurer, in case the goods were destroyed by the state department, and to the treasurer of the proper municipality, in case of destruction by the local board. The state treasurer or local treasurer, as the case may be, shall pay to the owner of the goods, or his legal representatives, the sum so certified.
