Section 1. A written prescription for a controlled substance shall be signed only by a practitioner who is authorized to prescribe controlled substances under the laws of the jurisdiction in which he is licensed to practice his profession. Section 2. A written prescription for a controlled substance shall be written with ink, indelible pencil or typewriter and may be prepared by an agent for the practitioner's signature. The prescription shall be manually signed by the practitioner which may be in the same manner as he would sign a check or legal document.
