Section 113.307  Property

Repairs and Maintenance

Payment for the cost of repair

or maintenance of homestead property shall be allowed up to $500 in a 12 month

period when:

a)         It is needed to keep the property habitable or safeguard the

health and safety of the recipient.  (This determination is made by the city or

county's housing or health department, as appropriate);

b)         the recipient has sufficient equity in the property to warrant

the expenditure (i.e., the recipient must have at least $501 in equity in the

property);

c)         family members are unable to do the work (i.e., based on

representations by family members and information contained in the recipient's

case record).
