Section 001. Scope

01. Scope. These rules establish minimum standards and criteria for construction and abandonment of Class V deep and shallow injection wells in the state of Idaho, except Indian lands, and the injection of fluids to such wells. The construction and use of Class I, III, IV, or VI injection wells are prohibited by these rules. (7-1-25) 02. Rule Coverage. In the event that a portion of these rules is less stringent than the minimu m requirements for injection wells as established by Federal regulations (40 CFR Parts 141, 142, 144, 145, and 146), th e correlative Federal requirement will be used to regulate the injection well.
