Section 021. Exploration

01. Written Permit Required. Any appreciable surface disturbing activity, including Motorize d Exploration, on State Lands is prohibited, except when a written exploration permit is received for exploration for a period of time as determined by the Director. This permit is in addition to any permit required by the Commission. (7-1-25) 02. Permit Conditions. The Director will determine when the exploration permit expires. The permit contains conditions that the Director determines will protect the existing surface uses and resources of the State. Th e permit applicant must pay the fee required by Section 120 in advance of the permit being issued. (7-1-25)
