(b) If a hospital submits a report pursuant to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section reflecting two consecutive quarters of sixty days or less of days of cash on hand, or days cash and cash equivalents otherwise available to the hospital, the commissioner may require the hospital to provide the Office of Health Strategy with additional information that the commissioner deems relevant to understanding the financial health of the hospital.

(c) If a hospital submits a report pursuant to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section reflecting two consecutive quarters of forty-five days or less of cash on hand, or days cash and cash equivalents otherwise available to the hospital, the Office of Health Strategy shall contact the hospital to offer assistance.

(d) If a hospital has multiple consecutive quarters of one hundred or more days of cash on hand, or days cash and cash equivalents otherwise available to the hospital, the commissioner may waive one of the hospital's two semiannual reports required pursuant to the provisions of subsection (a) of this section.
