(a) A person commits third degree assault on a family or household member if the person purposely creates apprehension of imminent physical injury to a family or household member. (b) Third degree assault on a family or household member is a Class C misdemeanor. Acts 1979, No. 396, § 7; A.S.A. 1947, § 41-1659; Acts 1995, No. 1291, § 7.
