Complaint.
The complaint is a written statement of the essential facts constituting the offense charged.
It shall also state the numerical designation of the applicable statute or ordinance. It shall
be made upon oath before any person authorized by law to administer oaths.
(B) In addition, a traffic ticket that complies with Traf.R. 2 shall constitute a complaint for an
alleged violation of a law, ordinance, or regulation governing the operation and use of
vehicles, conduct of pedestrians in relation to vehicles, or weight, dimension, loads or
equipment, or vehicles drawn or moved on highways and bridges, except for alleged
violations of Title 29 of the Revised Code.
