Committee Comments

(Revised July 1, 1985)

This is former Rule 7-2, as it existed prior to 1964, without change of substance. In 1971, it

was amended to insert cross-references to section 72 of the Civil Practice Act and Rule 105.

This rule was amended in 1985 to provide a specific requirement for notice in both revival-

of-judgment proceedings and release-of-judgment proceedings, as well as in cases involving

petitions seeking relief from certain final judgments.
