A judicial officer cannot: (1) grant a mutual protective order, which means a single order that restrains the conduct of both the plaintiff and the defendant; (2) issue a protective order that restricts the plaintiff's conduct based on the plaintiff's own petition; or (3) issue two protective orders within the same case number.
