The procedure in the superior court and, so far as

applicable, in the district court shall be governed by these rules

in all actions or proceedings of a civil nature—legal, equitable,

or otherwise. These rules shall be construed to secure the just,

speedy and inexpensive determination of every action and

proceeding.
