RE: Increased License Fees

DATE: August 25, 1992

On July 20, 1992 the Massachusetts legislature increased the annual fee for your agents licensed under Massachusetts General Laws c. 175, §163 from $50 to $75. The increase is applicable to all licenses issued or renewed as of July 1, 1992.

If you have not yet sent in the renewal fee for your agents, the amount of your check should reflect the increased fee. For those agents for whom you have sent in renewal payments at the $50 rate, you must remit an additional $25 per agent. We will greatly appreciate your prompt payment. All new licenses issued since July 1, 1992 also require the increased fee.

The attached form shows the Division's record of renewal payments you have made and the number of new licenses issued since July 1, 1992. If you have any questions about those figures, please contact Joanne LaRosa, Director of Agent and Broker Licensing, at 617-727-7189, x307.
