RESOLUTION OF THE TRIBAL COUNCIL

OF THE PYRAMID LAKE PAIUTE TRIBE

NIXON, NEVADA

the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe is organized pursuant to the provisions of Section

16 of the Indian Reorganization Act (25 U.S.C. § 476) and is federally recognized

by the United States Government through the Secretary of the Interior and the

Bureau of Indian Affairs; and

the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe declared a State of Emergency due to the COVID-

19 outbreak of 2020, and

the Indian Community Development Block Grant Program (ICDBG) has qualified

Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe to be the ICDBG-ARP 2021-22 Priority list subject to

application approval, and

in collaboration with Pyramid Lake Housing Authority, Pyramid Lake Paiute

Tribe has identified a need and allowable housing activity, and

Pyramid Lake Housing Authority will manage the project for the Pyramid Lake

Paiute Tribe, and

Pyramid Lake Housing Authority will identify eligible participants for repair or

replace existing furnaces in addition to installing central air to improve ventilation

for 75 homes on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, and

no match is required, and administrative costs are budgeted, and

the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe does not intend to submit a Citizen Participation

Certification, and

Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe intends to post the proposed project via tribal and

housing webpages for comments from the general public, and

Councilmembers of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council represent the tribal

members of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, and

Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council RESOLUTION NO.: PL 125-21

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Pyramid Lake Tribal Council authorizes an

application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development,

Indian Community Development Block Grant Program in the amount of

$1,035,000.00, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Chairperson or designee is authorized to sign all

documents needed to submit the application, and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council hereby approves and

finds the intent to post the proposed project on tribal websites sufficient to meet

the public input requirements of 24 CFR 1003.604.

CERTIFICATION

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Council, governing

body of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, composed of ten members, of whom fen (10) constituting a

quorum were contacted during a poll vote duly held on the 31% and re day of August/September, 2021,

was adopted by the affirmative vote of seven (7) FOR and zero (0) AGAINST, with twe (2)

ABSTENTIONS; pursuant to the authority contained in the Constitution and By-laws of the Pyramid
