AGENCY: Food Safety and Inspection Service, USDA.

ACTION: Reopening of comment period.

SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is extending the

comment period for the proposed rule, ``Elimination of Prior Approval

Requirements for Establishment Drawings and Specifications, Equipment,

and Certain Partial Quality Control Programs'' (61 FR 19578, May 2,

1996) for 60 days.

DATES: Comments must be received on or before September 9, 1996.
