§ 107.16. Putting into operation the federal highway safety act

March 18, 1969 House Bill 1 - 108th General Assembly The governor, pursuant to the Constitution and laws of this state, shall do all things necessary in behalf of the state to secure the full benefits available to the state under the "Highway Safety Act of 1966," 80 Stat. 731, 23 U.S.C. 401, and in so doing, to cooperate with federal and state agencies, political subdivisions of the state, agencies private and public, interested organizations, and with individuals, to effectuate the purposes of that enactment, and any and all subsequent amendments thereto. The governor is the official of the state having the ultimate responsibility for dealing with the federal government with respect to programs and activities pursuant to the "Highway Safety Act of 1966," and any amendments thereto. To that end he shall coordinate the activities of any and all departments and agencies of the state and its subdivisions, relating thereto.
