HISTORY AND PHILOSOPHY

The idea for a domestic violence program started

at the grass-roots level and has grown to take

a holistic approach to ending violence in our

community. We journey through a healing process

that begins to recognize, identify, and change

generational trauma patterns and provide long term

support. Ti-hirasa was named by respected tribal

members and means “this one is first;” whether

that is child, woman, or man, we want victims and

survivors to know that their safety comes first.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

We are a confidential support service that serves

all victims of abuse regardless of race, economic
