Inspections

Inspectors are to be contracted by or employed by the building owner and independent of the

construction contractor. Inspectors are to be allowed access to the building site throughout the

construction process including planning, rough-in, and final. If the inspector is not satisfied with

the results of any phase of the construction process; the inspectors have the right to require the

construction contractor to fix or replace it to their satisfaction (IBC Section 110). A copy of the

reports will be submitted to the Department of Environmental Conservation and Safety, P.O. Box

470, Pawnee, OK 74058, when they are completed.

Zoning

As outlined in Chapters 6 and 7 of the Pawnee Nation Natural Resources Protection Act, zoning

restrictions apply within aquatic buffers and ground water resources and shall be followed. The

aquatic buffer zones include wetlands, floodplains, and source water protection area for ground

water protection and shall be managed to enhance and maximize the unique value of these

resources.

Stormwater Management

As outlined in the Pawnee Nation Natural Resource Protection Act, all federal and tribal permits

for Stormwater management and Best Management Practices (BMPs) will be required. For all

construction projects the owner is responsible to protect all Stormwater inlets, drainage swales,

and creeks that receive stormwater runoff from the property. Periodic inspection and management

of stormwater BMPs will be required throughout the construction process until a permanent

ground cover has been established.

Certifications

This building is not to be occupied until an Occupancy Permit has been issued. An Occupancy

Permit will only be issued after the building passes the final inspection of the listed inspectors and

of the Fire Department and accepted by the Project Manager or Owner.

I hereby certify that the statements in this application and attachments hereto are true and correct

and that the property committee or owner has given permission for this work to proceed. I further

certify that all construction work under this permit will conform to the attached plans,

specifications, drawings and the Codes and Ordinances of the Pawnee Nation and that all

electrical, plumbing, air, fence, sign, and driveway construction shall be performed by contractors

licensed by the State of Oklahoma (if applicable). The construction site shall be made accessible

to all inspectors and employees of the Division of Natural Resources and Safety at any time

needed for inspection.
