SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Title: Application for Education Loan, VA Form 22-8725.

OMB Control Number: 2900-0236.

Type of Review: Revision of a currently approved collection.

Abstract: This form requests information needed to determine

eligibility for an education loan. VA uses the information to determine

whether an eligible student's education-related expenses will exceed

his or her financial resources during a specific enrollment period. The

applicant's education-related expenses and his or her available

financial resources. Without this information, VA might underpay or

overpay the amount of an education loan.

An agency may not conduct or sponsor, and a person is not required

to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a

currently valid OMB control number. The Federal Register Notice with a

60-day comment period soliciting comments on this collection of

information was published on April 23, 1999, at pages 20061-20062.

Affected Public: Individuals or households.

Estimated Annual Burden: 20 hours.

Estimated Average Burden Per Respondent: 40 minutes.

Frequency of Response: Generally one time.

Estimated Number of Respondents: 30.

information collection to VA's OMB Desk Officer, Allison Eydt, OMB
