Notice of Lodging of Consent Decree Under the Safe Drinking Water

Act 40 U.S.C. 300(f), et seq.

Notice is hereby given that on May 17, 1999 a proposed Consent

Decree (``Decree'') in United States v. HF Bar Ranch, Civil Action No.

98 CV 158J, was lodged with the United States District Court for the

District of Wyoming. The United States filed this action pursuant to

Section 1414(b) and (g) of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300g-

3(b) and (g), seeking injunctive relief and civil penalties for the

Defendant's violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act and EPA's

National Primary Drinking Water regulations at its guest Ranch located

in Saddlestring, Wyoming.

The proposed Consent Decree requires the Defendants to pay a civil

penalty of $15,000 for its violations of the Act. Subsequent to the

filing of the Complaint, the HF Bar Branch came into compliance with

the Safe Drinking Water Act and EPA's implementing regulations, making

additional injunctive relief unnecessary.
