Postponement of Preliminary Results of Review and Rescission of
Review With Respect To Kohap
On July 16, 1998, the Department initiated this new shipper review
of the antidumping duty order on PET film from Korea, manufactured by
H.S. Industries and Kohap, Ltd. (63 FR 38371). The current deadline for
the preliminary results is January 12, 1999. We have determined that
this review is extraordinarily complicated, and that we are unable to
complete it within the original timeframe. (See Memorandum to the File
dated November 24, 1998.)
Accordingly, the deadline for issuing the preliminary results is
now due no later than May 12, 1999. The deadline for issuing the final
results will be no later than 90 days from the publication of the
preliminary results.
On August 21, 1998, Kohap withdrew its request for a new shipper
administrative review. Accordingly, we are rescinding this new shipper
review with respect to Kohap. Upon publication of this notice in the
Federal Register, we will instruct the U.S. Customs Service to require
cash deposits on all shipments of PET film manufactured by Kohap and
entered or withdrawn from warehouse.
This notice is in accordance with Section 751(a)(2)(B)(iv) of the
Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (19 U.S.C. 1675(a)(2)(B)(iv)).
Dated: November 29, 1998.
Joseph A. Spetrini,
Deputy Assistant Secretary for AD/CVD Enforcement, Group III.
