Thompson Creek Mine Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement

AGENCY: Forest Service, USDA.

ACTION: Notice of opportunity to comment.

SUMMARY: The Salmon and Challis National Forest is providing notice

that a 60 day comment period will be initiated on September 22, 1997

for review of documents prepared in support of the Draft Supplemental

Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the proposed supplement to

the Thompson Creek Mine Plan of Operation. The purpose of the comment

period is to consider comments prior to release of the DSEIS. The

comment period will begin on September 22, 1997 and continue for 60

days concluding on November 21, 1997. All comments must be received in

writing by this date. Comments can be sent to: Salmon and Challis

National Forest, Thompson Creek Mine SEIS Coordinator, RR2 Box 600, Hwy

93 S, Salmon, ID 83467. The documents will be available for review at

the Yankee Fork Ranger District, Clayton, ID.
