AGENCY: Import Administration/International Trade Administration,

Department of Commerce.

ACTION: Notice of initiation of antidumping duty administrative reviews

and notice of request for revocation of order.

SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce has received requests to conduct

administrative reviews of antidumping duty orders concerning

Antifriction Bearings (Other Than Tapered Roller Bearings) and Parts

Thereof From France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Romania, Singapore, Sweden,

Thailand, and the United Kingdom. In accordance with the Commerce

regulations, we are initiating those administrative reviews for the

period May 1, 1993, through April 30, 1994. We have also received a

request to revoke the order covering ball bearings and parts thereof

from Thailand with respect to NMB/Pelmec, the only known producer/

exporter of this merchandise from Thailand.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

Background

The Department of Commerce (``the Department'') has received timely

requests, in accordance with section 353.22(a) (1), (2), and (3) of the

Department's regulations, for administrative reviews of antidumping

duty orders covering antifriction bearings (other than tapered roller

bearings) and parts thereof. The orders cover three classes or kinds of

merchandise: ball bearings (ball), cylindrical roller bearings

(cylindrical), and spherical plain bearings (spherical). Pursuant to

section 353.25 of the Department's regulations, we have also received a

request to revoke the order covering ball bearings and parts thereof

from Thailand with respect to NMB/Pelmec, the only known producer/

exporter of this merchandise from Thailand. This request is based on

the firm's claim that there has been an absence of dumping on sales of

the above subject merchandise for a period of three consecutive years.

Initiation of Reviews

In accordance with section 353.22(c) of the Department's

regulations, we are initiating administrative reviews of the following

antidumping duty orders. We intend to issue the final results of these

reviews no later than May 31, 1995.
