SUMMARY: This document announces a 35-day extension of time, until July

8, 1994, for comments on the advance notice of proposed rulemaking for

revising the regulations and other program provisions for the sugar

import licensing programs published in the Federal Register on May 4,

1994 (59 FR 23017).

DATES: All comments on the advance notice of proposed rulemaking must

be submitted on or before July 8, 1994 in order to be assured of

consideration.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is

requesting suggestions for revising the regulations and other program

provisions for the sugar import licensing programs in order to improve

program efficiency and compliance as well as to carry out relevant

provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Notice

is hereby given that the period of time for submitting comments on the

advance notice of proposed rulemaking published on May 4, 1994 (59 FR

23017) is extended to July 8, 1994.
