Part VII
Line 3: The appraisal of my mineral rights was done August 30, 2012.
Line 9: In my 2015 Report, I mistakenly failed to include short and long term capital gains in the income reported in Column B of Part VII at Line 10.
The correct code should have been C, not B. I have included all 2016 capital gains as income in this report.
And I will include all capital gains in future reports, based on advice provided by Committee staff.
Line 10: In April 2015, CREF changed its accounts from one class to three classes with different expense ratios.
The "R3" and "R2" designations reflect CREF's resulting allocations of these previously reported assets.
In my 2015 Report, I mistakently failed to list the CREF Money Market R2 fund as a separate asset in the TIAA-CREF #1 Retirement Account.
It should have been assigned income code A and value code J with no reportable transactions.
I have listed this fund separately in this report and will do so in future reports.
