# Utah Code § 17-72-403: Special guards for county jail

## Text

(1) The sheriff when necessary may with the assent of the county executive employ a temporary guard for the protection of the county jail, or for the safekeeping of prisoners. (2) The expenses of a temporary guard employed under Subsection (1) shall be a county charge.
