## Text

A pump for a pool or spa must not be operated if the owner
 or operator of the pool or spa knows or should know in the exercise
 of ordinary care that the drain grate, suction outlet, or any suction
 outlet cover is missing, broken, or loose. If such a condition exists,
 the pool or spa must be closed and remain closed until corrected.
