## Text

(a) The Department of Human Services shall have the authority to make referrals or provide services during the course of a child maltreatment investigation. (b) Any family may request supportive services from the department. (c) Supportive services shall be offered for the purpose of preventing child maltreatment. Acts 2009, No. 749, § 1.
