For Your Information
What’s Going On?
Inflation, shipping delays, high
gas prices, wars, political
unrest, lawsuits, hurricanes,
blizzards,
droughts,
earthquakes, wildfires, erupting
volcanos, human trafficking,
drug
overdoses,
excessive
number of young deaths …
what’s going on? Where is God?
This is the time of the year
when we are preparing for the
celebration of the Birth of Jesus,
the time when the Father sent
His Son into the world to let us know “God is with us.”
Emmanuel! (cf. Mt 1:23). Christmas is a time to see God
with us everywhere: in Christmas trees, twinkling lights,
wrapped presents, Christmas wreaths, manger scenes,
church services, Christmas carols, Santa Clause, and elves.
Shaking hands, bear hugs, mistletoe kisses, belly laughter,
humble generosity, calming peace, soothing gentleness,
tender kindness and genuine love for one another reveals
Jesus with us. There is no room for Scrooge’s gloominess.
Yet for a lot of people this gloominess has a grip on them
because the holidays remind them of who is not with them
or what is going wrong in their life.
Jesus came into the world to rescue us from this
gloominess. His entry into this world as a one celled
embryo in the womb of a virgin who nine months later
would be born in a stable and laid in a manger was the
beginning of destroying worldly death, sickness and chaos,
the cause of gloominess. When we focus on worldly turmoil
and disasters, when we focus on what we are missing
because our loved one is no longer with us, we miss seeing
God in our midst. A conscious decision must be made to
deliberately look for Jesus in everything, including the
gloominess. Yes, Jesus died the horrible death on a cross
but in three days he rose again. Jesus took something
horrible and made it into something beautiful. Yes, our
loved one has died but like Jesus our loved one will rise
again. Yes, the gloominess from this world’s chaos presses
in on us but when we focus on what Jesus is going to do
with it, how Jesus will transform it’s ugliness into
something beautiful, gloominess will go away, Jesus will
become present, and Christmas will again be joyful.
Christmas should always remind us how much the
Father loves us – He sent his Only Begotten Son to set us
free from the kingdom of darkness.
This year, look closely at a nativity set. Ponder the baby

Jesus in the manger. Let the Father’s plan for His Son to be
born in a stable instead of a room at the inn inspire you to
confidently trust God in everything. Let the joy of a newborn
child born in a manger remind you that God always loves you
and is with you right now. Let the Christmas story inspire
you to know without a doubt God promises to be with you
always, whether you are experiencing a rough time or a
relatively painless time. Choose to focus on what He is doing
with you right now. Choose to pay attention to what Jesus is
doing for you right now. Choose to see what’s going on. You
will find what you are looking for.

Have a great day with Jesus Christ

are trying to plow them as best as we can.
3. We will sand and salt the streets and the icy intersections and
where ever else needs to be sanded and salted.

out in the country, who are not hooked into the rural water

Beautification Program Mission & Services
Our Mission
Taking action to make
MHA Nation a cleaner,
greener, litter-free place
to live., work and play.
The
Beautification
Program is dedicated to
the simple idea that
“beauty
matters”
A
landscape littered with
trash is anything but
beautiful.
The most important words in our mission
statement are “taking action”. We focus on getting
people involved and actively working to improve
their communities through community cleanups
and beautification projects. We also encourage local
businesses and government leaders to take an
active role in these efforts.
Once people see how their actions, efforts, and
personal behaviors are helping to improve their
communities, they feel empowered to do even
more.
We thrive on collaboration with local segments,
business leaders and residents that can help
improve the health, cleanliness, and appearance of
their own neighborhoods and communities. They
just need a little guidance, and that’s where the
Beautification Program can help.

last being Slipknot where she said she had a rocking exhilarating experience. Theola was a world traveler, from seeing
kangaroos in Sydney, Australia to touching the ancient stones of the Roman Colosseum and Parthenon of Athens, Greece.
Theola adored her handsome son and granddaughters with all of her heart and soul. She loved and was loved by all of her
family and friends. Theola touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with, with her boisterous laugh and
