Proposed Revision to White Earth Adult Use Cannabis and Medical Cannabis Codes
WHITE EARTH RESERVATION BUSINESS COMMITTEE

WHITE EARTH BAND OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS
Resolution No. _O0O/- Ai

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Tribal Council is the duly elected governing body of the
White Earth Reservation pursuant to Article IV, Section |, of the revised constitution and
bylaws of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, as amended, and organized under Section 16,
of the Act of June 18, 1934 (48 Stat. 984), and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee is the duly authorized governing body
of the White Earth Band, and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee adopted Resolution No 001-16-017A in
part to provide a transparent process for the consideration and approval of Tribal
Ordinances, and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee supports revising the White Earth
Adult Use Cannabis and Medical Cannabis Codes to be the proposed and attached
Cannabis Code, and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee adopted Resolution No 001-16-017A
states that a public notice to Band membership which shall commence a 15 day public
comment period, and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee shall consider the received comments
and provide a public summary of responses no later than 30 days after the public
comment period, and

WHEREAS, the White Earth Reservation Business Committee shall publicly post the final version of
the Cannabis Code for an additional 15 days before a work session for a final vote, now

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the White Earth Reservation Business Committee hereby directs the
Executive Director to issue a public notice including the attached proposed Cannabis Code for public
comment, with the public comment period to commence on Tuesday April 2, 2024 and end Wednesday
April 17, 2024.
