Brass Sheet and Strip From Germany; Extension of Time Limit for
Antidumping Duty Administrative Review

AGENCY: Import Administration, International Trade Administration,
Department of Commerce.

ACTION: Extension of time limit for antidumping duty administrative
review of brass sheet and strip from Germany.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The Department of Commerce (``the Department'') is extending
the time limit for the preliminary results of the tenth antidumping
duty administrative review of the antidumping order on brass sheet and
strip from Germany. This review covers Wieland-Werke AG, a manufacturer
and exporter of the subject merchandise, and the period of review March
1, 1996 through February 28, 1997.

EFFECTIVE DATE: November 10, 1997.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:

The Department initiated this administrative review on April 24,
1997 (62 FR 19988). Because it is not practicable to complete this
review within the time limit mandated by section 751(a)(3)(A) of the
Tariff Act of 1930 (``the Act''), as amended by the Uruguay Round
Agreements Act of 1994, the Department is extending the time limit for
the preliminary results of the aforementioned review to March 31, 1998.
See memorandum from Joseph A. Spetrini to Robert S. LaRussa, which is
on file in Room B-099 at the Department's headquarters.
This extension of time limit is in accordance with section
751(a)(3)(A) of the Act.
