Part VIL. Investments and Trusts

Lines 2-12

In pust years | have regularly completed Part VII, Investments and Trusts, based on information from a joint tax return with my ©0001 am unable to do that at

this time because we were flooded out of our house on September 12, 2013, and that property is not yet restored. Many of her financial records were destroyed by

the flood. It was necessary to liquidate securities to pay for restoration. That was done with a financial advisor for my spouse and | do not know the details of it.

Because we will have a major casualty loss the amount of which has not been determined, we have an extension of time until October, 2014, to file the income tax

return. | will then file a supplement to this report,

As | have routinely reported, the securities histed are solely owned by my 7000 and | have no knowledge of the value of those securities. My 0000 had an

investment portfolio before we were married. By premarital agreement, she has always maintained her own finances with a separate bank account, her own

brokerage account, her own financial adviser and her own books and records. The only asset jointly owned is our residence.

We file a joint tux return and 1 understand that raises & presumption of knowledge of the sources of income that is reported. Our return is prepared by an

accountant and each of us separately provides him with the necessary information and supporting papers. 1 am willing to sign the retum in reliance on her honesty

in reporting.

My 0 has provided me with the identification of her sources of investment income to enable me to comply with the disqualification requirements of 28 U.S.C.

Sec. 445. My request to provide the additional information necessary to complete Column C in Part VII, page 4, lines 2-12, was denied based on her observation

that granting me access to her financial records would be contrary to our pre-nuptial agreement which we have scrupulously followed during the 53 years of our

marriage. | respect her decision,

1 requested our tax accountant to prepare separate tax returns, He did so and the additional tax that 1 would be required to pay in a separate return would be a

substantial burden. 1 believe that | have made a good faith effort to comply with the reporting provisions of the law.
