Under current policy if a faculty member is classified

he or she is not eligible for reciremenr health coverage even

if he or she meets the age and term of service requiremencs because Medicare

regulations stipulate thar anyone who is entitled to regular health benaefirs

from their employer must receive that benefit rather than Medicare so retired

faculcy listed as 50X or more would be covered under the regular faculry

madical plan.

Dental Insurance

There 1s no University contribution to the Dental

Plan, burt still the plan is available only to faculty whe ars half time or

mors.

Long-term Disability

Faculty classified as 50X or more are eligible for

coverage under the University’s long-term disability program. The benefits of

that program terminace at age 70

Flexible Benefits

The University requires that a faculry member be

employed 501 or more to participacs in the flexible benefits program

Group Life Insurance

Faculty members may participate in the group life

If employed less than half

insurance plan 1f employed half time or more.

Scholarship Plan for Sons and Daughters

The benefit is available to all racired faculty who

meet the length of service requirement -- six continuous years prior to

receiving the benefit or four continuous years prior and eight years of total

sarvice
